Apple has started it’s 3 days of product release announcements. So far they have announced the iPhone 17e and their new M5 Macbook Pro lineup. Apple, in typical Apple fashion, is increasing the price of these new devices because, they claim, there is an increase in storage capacity. Sounds fishy to me. I think the real thing we need to thank is tariffs and Apple just doesn’t want to say the quiet part outloud and upset the administration.

I have to say, I bet Apple is regretting the plan to drag out these announcements over 3 days while a war wages in the background. I guess the initial plan was to try and drum up interest and keep engagement but has Apple really done anything in recent memory to justify 3 days of over hyped incremental product launches? Who really cares? I mean, the hottest Gen Z trend right now is literally going back to old iPods

Apple has become incredibly boring as a company to me. They are not innovating like they used to and it’s just become a stale old blue chip stock in my opinion. I wouldn’t be suprised if in a decade we look back at Apple the same way we look at IBM today. Maybe when Tim Cook hands over the reins the new CEO will be more daring and take some more product and design risks to avoid that fate.
